"What's Love Got to Do With It: How to Assess if Your Client is in a Healthy Relationship or is it a Trauma Bond" with Shannon Higgins, LPC-Supervisor

Join us for September’s workshop with Shannon Higgins, LPC-Supervisor. We will be discussing Narcissistic Abuse/Hidden Abuse Awareness. This will help clinicians help detect someone hiding in plain sight that are endangering clients.

Learning Objectives:

1.     Gaining the distinctive ability to clearly define healthy relationships vs toxic, hidden abuse (aka Narcissistic Abuse), psychological abuse, physical abuse, emotional and verbal abuse.

2.     Learning the definition and neurobiology of what a trauma bond is (aka Stockholm Syndrome).

3.     Teaching your clients about healthy relationships vs trauma bond and supporting them to navigate them to achieve their therapeutic goals.

4.     Learning to manage your own investment with your clients’ outcome. Supporting your client’s autonomous process of developing their own goals and how to mutually agree upon these goals.
